Pastoral Staff

John Sale, Senior Pastor
John Sale, Senior Pastor, with his wife Linda Pastor John came to Community Church, making Valley Center his home in July 1998, after serving as senior pastor for 22 years in the suburbia of Chicago. The driving motivation in Pastor John's ministry has been what he calls "the grace and glory of God." It is the grace of God lavished upon His people which provides access into the presence of Almighty God. It is this same grace that opens up to us the privilege to worship God, the One who has indescribable glory, whose name is holy and inhabits eternity (Isaiah 57:15). Pastor John studied at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Trinity College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity Seminary in IL, and Westminster Theological Seminary in CA. Pastor John is blessed with a wonderful wife, Linda, four daughters (Sarah, Hannah, Lydia and Rebecca), three sons-in-law (Adam, David, Tim) and two grandchildren.

David Wojnicki, Associate Pastor
David Wojnicki, Associate Pastor with his wife Hannah Pastor David came to VCCC at the start of 2003 to become the church's first fulltime children's pastor. Ministry to children and their families is something that David has enjoyed since he began teaching his first children's Sunday School class at the age of twelve. David's heartbeat has always been to see families and the church faithfully proclaim the work of the Lord to the next generation in accordance with Psalm 78. Attending college at Moody Bible Institute, David graduated with a bachelor's degree in Pastoral Studies in 2002. During his time at Moody David served for two years as assistant campus director for College ministry at DePaul University. Currently David is continuing his education by pursuing a Master's degree through Reformed Theological Seminary. David is married to his greatest friend Hannah and they have one daughter, Elle.

Rob Schloemer, Associate Pastor of Family Ministries
Rob Schloemer, Associate Pastor of Youth and Family, with his wife Lori Pastor Rob's passion is to see young people and families come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, and grow in that knowledge of Him, for the Glory of God. His desire is to show young people the difference between knowing Jesus intellectually versus intimately (Luke 13:22-30). A truly intimate knowledge of Christ will permeate everything a person does. Followers of Jesus Christ must not merely nod their heads at being a Christian, but must live lives that radiate Jesus Christ to impact the people and culture around them (Hosea 10:12). Pastor Rob and his family came to VCCC from Louisville, KY where he studied at the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Pastor Rob completed his undergraduate work at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and received a Master of Divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing Certification from the Institute of Biblical Counseling and Discipleship. Pastor Rob's family includes his lovely wife Lori and their three wonderful children Robbie, Zachariah, and Katie Jo.

Tony Suitor, Director of Children's Ministries
Tony Suitor,Pastoral Assistant with his wife Tony Suitor has been faithfully serving here at Valley Center Community Church (VCCC) for the past five years. The last two years Tony has served as an intern and we are happy to now have him join VCCC's staff serving as our Children's Director. Tony came to us from Illinois, where he served as a youth pastor for five years. He received his Bachelor Degree in Pastoral Studies from Moody Bible Institute and has just recently completed his Master's of Divinity degree at Westminster Seminary California. Tony's heart longs to see the body of Christ fulfill their calling of glorifying God; enjoying him forever in all they do. (1 Corinthians 10:31) It is Tony's prayer that the body of Christ would grow more and more in the knowledge of God's amazing love and grace, thus helping them to discern what is best, remaining pure and blameless until the day of Christ Jesus, for the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:9-11) After arriving here at Valley Center Community Church, Tony received another measure of God's grace in his own life by meeting and marrying his beautiful wife Alisa. Their first child, Aidan John Suitor, was just born in July.
